Intermediate Obedience

We would love to have you and your dog join us for our six week Intermediate Obedience course at Luv-A-K9! This page reviews the requirements for the course, our upcoming courses and allows you to submit an application to join the course of your choice.

About The Course

Teach your dog how to remain calm and responsive during everyday distractions, all while having fun! Emphasis is placed on the attention your dog gives you. Hand signals are added to verbal commands and skills learned in previous courses are fine tuned.

A detailed homework book will be provided to you at your first class to help guide your at home practices week by week. Two family members may attend each class - children of all ages are encouraged to join and participate in training.

Intermediate Obedience is final course in our obedience series. Once you have completed Intermediate Obedience you are eligible to join any of our specialized courses such as Agility, Rally Obedience, Trick Class, Canine Good Neighbour, or Scent Detection!

Course Requirements

Previous Classes

In order to participate in the Intermediate Obedience course your dog must have completed one of the following courses:
  • Puppy Graduate
  • Senior Puppy
  • Beginner Obedience
Or an equivalent course at another training facility.

Vaccinations

Your dog must have their up-to-date vaccinations in order to attend class, including:
  • DHPP, DAPP, DA2PP, or DAPPC
  • Leptospirosis
  • Rabies
  • Bordetella (recommended, not required)
Proof of vaccinations is not required at the time of registration, but must be presented prior to the first day of class.

Booking

We require that our students put down a full, non-refundable payment for the course to secure a space. The total cost for the six week course including tax is $150.00.

Invoices are issued via email and allow for payment using VISA, MasterCard, American Express or e-transfer. Alternatively, payment may be made with any of the above noted credit cards over the phone.
